What is the ideal outing??? It brings me back to the memories at least 3 years ago. My family loves gathering and the favourite place that we will always remember and still wanting to go will be the Pasir Ris Park. We always pack our own food, with each family bringing some of their best dishes and share among all. My dad will always prepare mee hoon and the drinks with lots of ice for the hot weather, my dad's aunt will cook her speciality, the CURRY CHICKEN, also the favourite of all. There will always be lots of food and laughter. We will sit there and chat, play poker cards, children running back and fro the playground and many more.

It was this one time which leaves the best memories in my mind and heart. It was a perfect weather that turns into a heavy raining day after 4 hours spent at the beach. We ran with everyone carrying some of the items to a shelter. Then it comes, the rain water starts flowing into the shelter, we have to keep the water out to prevent our things from getting wet. My dad then brought all of us out of the shelter and taught us what he and my uncles and aunts always do when they were young. We start to dig mud and built a mud wall. Water was flooding outside and as children, we were only thinking of having fun... It took lots of effort to finally get the mud wall up and yeah, we were all full of dirt but happy.

My dad then took us to the flooded areas and we started splashing water at one another. It also brought back the 'kumpong' memories of my elders. No matter adult or children, it was a moment of fun and happiness that will never be forgotten. The rain stopped 2 hours later with the laughter still being heard at the shelter. We had a really fun day and how i hope we can travel back to that time, where we were all kids and there was only happiness.

There are also many occasions where we went to the beach to catch crabs. The fear of getting caught by the crab and the curiousness of wanting to catch one. Those wonderful memories...

So, the things that i want to do with my family will be the above. Back to the beach to have a whole day of fun regardless of who we are. We are a family and will always be. Now as we grow up, its harder for everyone to have the same free time so we can have that gathering again. I really hope we can have a nice gathering again. Again... again... again... ...
